National Geographic Explorer

All aboard the National Geographic Explorer!

The satellite internet is VERY spotty…so don’t worry if you don’t hear from me for a few days!

I am trying to connect with a signal that is orbiting over the equator…so it takes a while.

I am sleeping on the large ship (The National Geographic Explorer). I have a small cabin with a bunkbed, bathroom, desk and one porthole.

My room is in the belly of the ship (the navy blue portion of the ship nearest the water line). You can see my little porthole down at the bottom if you look closely!

We’ll be traveling on zodiacs (the small rubber boats) daily to explore the glaciers and islands. We’ll also be taking water samples to investigate for evidence of micro-plastics.
